For any of you Game of Thrones fans, you know the term "Winter is Coming!" If you're not a fan, you know its COLD outside, and about to get colder! HOWEVER, when it comes to Home Sales,
The Holidays Are Here Time To Sell
The Holidays are here and if you're anything like me you're frantically trying to get your home in order, get everyone crossed off your list, and still trying to find time for everyday life. I think the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas loses about 10 days every year, or at least it feels like that to me!
With all this going on, for some people, selling or buying a home is one of the LAST things they want to do. However... the Holidays can be a perfect time to buy your new home or sell your current one! For Sellers, the amount of active inventory typically decreases during the Holidays. Those that have had their homes on the market for any extended period of time often remove the home for the Holiday/Winter months. Over 80 homes have Expired or been Withdrawn from the market since Thanksgiving, and overall there are over 120 less homes on the market now than there was a month ago. While the buyer pool has shrunk, so has the competition, and you never know when that ONE buyer will come along. And, the Buyers that are out there right now are seriously looking to buy!
And for you Buyers, the Sellers with the homes on the market during the Holidays are serious! They're keeping their home in tip top condition during what could be their busiest time of year. They aren't out there "seeing what they can get" and testing the market. Those sellers and their agents also know the buyer pool is smaller, and they want you to like their home, and will make it as attractive to you as possible.
And if you took the time to read this, and realized you could have spent this time shopping instead, just remember... In 20 years we won't remember the presents we got, but the memories we made with those we love. So relax, and enjoy the season.
I believe in utilizing a consultative approach to enable my clients to make informed financial decisions when it comes to their housing needs. ....
